Criteria for participation

Criteria for organisations wishing to join the Commitment for Biodiversity

• Operate within the Gothenburg region.
• Have a direct or indirect impact on land and water-based ecosystems, for example through authority over land use and/or properties in the Gothenburg region.
• The Declaration of Intent must be signed by a member of the organization’s management team.

Organisations signing the Commitment agree to:

• Actively work towards and report on measures and experiences in accordance with the statements in the Declaration of Intent.
• Contribute to achieving some of the goals and measures from the longlist currently being developed by the Commitment Steering Group.
• Pay an annual membership fee starting in 2026 (see below).
• Participate actively in one or more of Bee-Go’s working groups, contributing in-kind time and sharing experiences with other members.

Membership Fee

Starting in 2026, participation in the Commitment will include an annual membership fee to cover coordination, administration, and member events within the initiative. The exact contents of the membership offer are yet to be determined, but the funds will be used to benefit the members and ensure the initiative’s long-term sustainability.

The annual fee is:

• SEK 25,000 for large companies and public organisations (with an annual turnover exceeding SEK 100 million in the previous year).
• SEK 10,000 for small companies (with an annual turnover below SEK 100 million in the previous year) and non-profit organizations.

The Steering Group will then decide on membership in Bee-Go, after which approved members will receive an agreement to sign and return.
